AB - Cognitive enhancement or neuroenhancement implies any action or intervention that improves performance related to cognitive abilities such as learning, memory, attention, or vigilance. The whole approach is based on an understanding of the underlying neurobiology of cognitive functions and interventions through conventional methods (environmental enrichment, adequate sleep, optimized diet, physical activity, etc.), pharmacological methods (nootropics and drugs used for treating patients with neurological disorders) and neurostimulation. Due to the latest developments in the field of technology, the possibility to enhance cognitive function using computer chip implants in the brain is opened. Such devices that interface with the neural system are presently in development and engaged only for those with a therapeutic requirement. On the other hand, as for all methods of cognitive enhancement, it is really hard to draw the line between their approved and non-approved usage. Therefore, the upcoming application of brain chip implants could expand brain performance for individuals even without therapeutic prerequisite, although both the public and scientists already anticipate some negative impacts. This paper discusses perspectives and challenges in the latest development of the neurotechnology approach used to improve cognitive performance.

AB - Although relation between brain and education is known for long time, facts known about brain organization and functioning were not found to be useful in the process of education till recently. New field named as Neuroeducation, or Mind, Brain and Education is interdisciplinary scientific field that merge Neuroscience and Education in order to implement knowledge from brain science into process of education. The main scope of Neuroeducation is to investigate relations between biology of cognitive processes on one side, and learning and education on the other side. Birth of Neuroeducation as a "child" from "unnatural marriage" between Neuroscience and Education as parents, opened many questions but also great expectations. In this paper we summarize benefits and obstacles in the relatively new field of Neuroeducation trying to predict its further development and outcomes.

AB - Study programs in Professional Higher Education Institutions typically have the mandatory internship, with defined learning outcomes and ECTS expressed workload. When an internship is performed in exchange for ECTS credit, it must be strongly related to an academic discipline with defined set of learning outcomes. The goals and therefore learning outcomes, differ depending on the educational level and year of the study. At large, internship learning outcomes in professional higher education belong to two general categories: study program-specific learning outcomes and generic academic and soft skills outcomes. In previous years, the need for the development of a virtual model of internship and a platform for its implementation, suitable for performing work-based learning in Higher Education Institutions, is clearly recognized as the response to Industrial revolution 4.0. Even more, the significance of remote work-based learning emerged with the Covid 19 pandemics that disturbed work placed and hampered the implementation of professional practices, internship schemes, and all other forms of work-based learning. While different virtual internship schemes are developed throughout the educational systems, the question arise what are the advantages and disadvantages in the learning outcomes achievement in such work-based learning models. Here we discuss learning outcomes in professional higher education from the position of both traditional in-person internship and modern virtual internship.
