dc.description.abstractThe aim of this paper is to draw attention to the need to, and to the organization of the content in a modern textbook, which needs to be recoded. This paper observes the interactively functional textbook model that serves a purpose of permanent and applicable knowledge. However, there’s a dilemma of “computer and/or a textbook?” and the only clear point is when it comes to high quality lifelong education, society does not need sole consumers of the information offered, but creative, independent, responsible, critical and self-critical, valueshaped beings. This study observed an interactive functional model of a textbook that is in a function of permanent and applicable knowledge, while at the same time it makes possible to realize teachers’ roles in the process of learning/teaching. The introduction of information technology enters significant changes in learning and teaching, but it should be noted that the real situation in the society would retain the textbook and its function in the educational process.en
