Abstract
Attitude is defined as a multidimensional concept which includes affective, cognitive and behavioral component. The attitudes are generators of certain behavior, that is, the manifestation of attitudes leads to the reactions of other people. Examination of the attitudes towards people with intellectual disabilities is an important topic because, if there are negative attitudes, they can disturbe or prevents people with intellectual disabilities in achieving life goals. Goal of this paper is to determine whether the sociodemographic characteristics of people with visual impairments are the source of the differences in attitudes towards people with intellectual disabilities. The results of this research show that there is a positive correlation between the level of education of the respondents and attitudes towards people with intellectual disabilities, while between categories of visual impairment, age of respondents, professional status and gender on one side and attitudes on the other... side there are no statistically significant differences.
