Assessment of memory in children with mild intellectual disability

Abstract
Basic aim of this research is to determ development of memory quality in children with mild intellectual disability. This research is done in Belgrade's elementary schools for children with mild intellectual disability. The sample includes 124 participants, both sexes, age:8-16, with no neurological, psychiatric and combined disturbances Verbal learning, memory, retention and immediate recall are examined by Rey auditory learning test. On other hand visual ability and auditive memory are examined by Acadia test. The results that we got pointed out very low achievements of children with mild intellectual disability concerning all parts of memory.
Osnovni cilj istraživanja odnosi se na utvrđivane kvaliteta razvijenosti pamćenja kod dece s lakom intelektualnom ometenošću (LIO). Istraživanje je obavljeno u osnovnim školama za decu s LIO na teritoriji Beograda. Uzorak istraživanja obuhvatio je 124 ispitanika, oba pola, uzrasta od 8 do 16 godina bez neuroloških, psihijatrijskih i kombinovanih smetni. Rey-ovim testom verbalnog pamćenja (Rey Auditory verbal learning test) ispitano je verbalno učenje, pamćenje, retencija kao i neposredno upamćivane (raspon pažnje), dok su sposobnosti vizuelnog i auditivnog pamćenja ispitane Acadia testom razvoja sposobnosti. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na izrazito loša postignuća pri proceni svih komponenata pamćenja kod dece s LIO.
