Abstract
Computer caused anxiety among teachers, as a state of negative stance towards real or imagined interaction with computer technology is a frequently mentioned distracter in the realization of teaching aided by the computer as a medium for acquisition of knowledge and skills. The aim of the research was to determine the level of computer anxiety among the teachers in schools for children with light intellectual impairment, as well as the relatedness of this condition with gender and age of the respondents. The sample included 72 teachers of schools for children with light intellectual impairment in Belgrade, and the levels of anxiety were examined by the Computer Anxiety Rating Scale comprising 19 items. It was found out that 37.8% of teachers showed signs of high computer anxiety, while 52.8% of the teachers exhibited no signs of this condition. Low anxiety was found in 9.7% of respondents. The correlation between computer anxiety and gender was not statistically significant, but elder ...respondents showed a higher level of computer anxiety compared to their younger colleagues.
