Povezanost autonomije, samopoštovanja i zadovoljstva životom kod adolescenata sa lakom intelektualnom ometenošću

Abstract

Циљ овог истраживања је био утврђивање корелација између аутономије, самопоштовања и задовољства животом код адолесцената са лаком интелектуалном ометеношћу као и идентификовање статистичке значајности односа ове три зависне варијабле са демографским чиниоцима (пол, узрасна група и стручно усмерење). Узорак је чинило 39 испитаника узраста од 16 до 21 годину (AS = 17,90, SD = 1,10), оба пола, који су на основу стручног усмерења подељени у шест категорија. За процену нивоа развијености аутономије коришћена је Аркова скала самоодређења (The Arc's Self-Determination Scale-Adult Version, Wehmeyer, 1995), за процену самопоштовања Розенбергова Скала самопоштовања (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale – SES, Rosenberg, 1965), док је за процену задовољства животом коришћена адаптирана верија Скале Индекс личног благостања за особе са интелектуалном ометеношћу (Personal Wellbeing Index – Intellectual Disability – PWI-ID, Cummins & Lau, 2005). Резултати су показали да старији испитаници овог узорка, мушког пола, имају статистички значајно виши ниво аутономног понашања, као и да су избор стручног усмерења испитаника и ниво њиховог задовољства животом у статистички значајном односу. Испитаници из нашег узорка су остварили просечан ниво аутономије, нижи ниво самопоштовања и виши ниво задовољства животом у односу на теоријски очекивани просек. Присутна је статистички значајна корелација између укупног скора скале аутономије и задовољства животом, док између аутономије и самопоштовања и самопоштовања и задовољства животом није регистрована статистички значајна повезаност.

The aim od this research was to determine the correlations between autonomy, self- esteem and life satisfaction in adolescents with mild intellectual disability (MID), as well as to identify the statistical significance of the relationship between these three dependent variables and demographic factors (gender, age group and prоfessional direction. The sample consisted of 39 respondents with MID, both sexes, aged 16 to 21 (AS = 17.90, SD = 1.10), who were devided into six categories based on their professional orientation. The Arc’s Self-Determination Scale-Adult Version (The Arc's Self-Determination Scale-Adult Version, Wehmeyer, 1995) was used to assess the level of autonomy development, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES, Rosenberg, 1965), while an adapted version of the Personal Wellbeing Index Scale for people with intellectual disabilities (PWI-ID, Cummins & Lau, 2005) was used to assess life satisfaction. The results showed that the older male respondents of this sample, have a statistically significant higher level of autonomous behavior, as well as that the choice of respondents professional orientation and the level of their life satisfaction are in a significant relationship. Respondents from our sample achieved an average level of autonomy, a lower level of self- esteem and a higher level of life satisfaction compared to the theoretically expected average. There is a statistically significant correlation between the total score of the autonomy scale and life satisfaction, while no statistically significant correlation was registered between autonomy and self-esteem and self-esteem and life satisfaction.
