Abstract
Defining intellectual disability includes estimation of intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior. Adapting behavior includes the set of terms, social and practical skills which the person has adopted with the aim of functioning in everyday life. Practical skills as components of adaptive behavior represent the set of practical activities which aim is good functioning in elementary life surrounding. The basic aim of this concept was that on the basis of theoretical and empirical knowledge show their term determination and particularities of practical skills of children with IO. Limitation of practical everyday skills unable independence of a person in elementary life surroundings. In the paper, we showed models of the support which would enable social integration, encouraging individuality and autonomy of people with IO.
Definisanje intelektualne ometenosti obuhvata procenu intelektualnog funkcionisanja i adaptivnog ponašanja. Adaptivno ponašanje čini skup pojmovnih, socijalnih i praktičnih veština koje je osoba usvojila radi adekvatnog funkcionisanja u svakodnevnom životu. Praktične veštine, kao jedna od komponenti adaptivnog ponašanja, predstavljaju skup praktičnih aktivnosti čiji je osnovni cilj dobro funkcionisanje u elementarnim životnim okolnostima. Osnovni cilj ovako koncipiranog rada bio je da se na osnovu teorijskih i empirijskih saznanja ukaže na pojmovno određenje i specifičnosti praktičnih veština kod dece s IO. Ograničenja u praktičnim svakodnevnim veštinama onemogućavaju nezavisnost osobe u elementarnim životnim okolnostima. U radu su prikazani modeli podrške koji bi omogućili socijalnu integraciju, podsticanje samostalnosti i autonomije osoba s IO.
