Language is the most important instrument of communication among people. That is manifested in a written and speech form. The precondition for speech development is the normal development of hearing sense, which leads to the development of speech difficult in deaf and hard of hearing due to primary damage.
Learning drops, that is, the proper use of the word in the sentence, makes the basis for the involvement of deaf and hard of hearing in the process of communicating with people.
Also, the drops allow students to correctly pronounce words in everyday speech, to get acquainted with grammar and the spelling of their mother language.
The aim of the research was to explore the function of drops at deaf and hard of hearing. At the beginning of the research, the goals and tasks of the research were set. The aims of the research were to explore the connection between: age, degree of hearing impairment, grades from the Serbian language and gender to the function of the deaf and hearing dis...orders.
The research was carried out on the territory of the Republic of Serbia in three primary schools for deaf and hard of hearing children: Elementary school "Stefan Dečanski" in Belgrade, Elementary school "Radivoj Popović" in Zemun and Special school with students dorm "Bubanj" in Niš. The research sample consisted of 30 deaf and hard of hearing students from the fifth to the eighth grade. The research used the Corpus for the assessment of the use of feces (Dimić, Marić, 2004). The results obtained are tabulated and graphically.
Based on the analysis of the obtained results we can conclude that there is a characteristic use of individual forms of words (drops) in deaf and hard learners. The age of students has no impact on the function of the drop; Sixth grade students achieved the worst results. The degree of damage to hearing did not affect the success of knowing the fate; The best result was achieved by students with severe hearing impairment. The assessment from the Serbian language influenced the function of the drop, that is, the knowledge of the same on the test. The students with great success were the best. Gender of pupils had no influence on the knowledge of the fate; girls were much better.
