Some factors of achievement in the field of Natural and Social Sciences of children with mild intellectual retardation

Abstract
The main objective of this research refers to the correlation of perceptual skills and attention to the adoption of materials as well as contributions surveyed variables on school achievement in the program area of 'natural environment and working people in different seasons.' The sample consisted of 93 interviewees with mild intellectual disability, aged 8 to 12 years and 3 months, both sexes, no neurological, sensory and combined disturbances. To assess the ability of respondents we used the first and third subtest Acadia test of developmental skills (auditory and visual discrimination), C3 scale Luria Nebraska Battery for Children (tactile perception), trunk and Criterion test knowledge test. The results show a significant correlation between estimated cognitive ability and achievement in the program area of 'natural environment and working people in different seasons,' which is taught in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences. Of all the estimated abilities, visual discriminati...on has the most important place. .

Osnovni cilj ovog istraživanja odnosi se na procenu korelacije perceptivnih sposobnosti i pažnje sa usvajanjem gradiva, kao i doprinosa ispitanih varijabli na školskom postignuću u okviru programske oblasti 'Prirodna sredina i rad ljudi u različitim godišnjim dobima'. Uzorak čini 93 ispitanika sa lakom intelektualnom ometenošću, uzrasta od 8 do 12 godina i 3 meseca, oba pola, bez neuroloških, senzornih i kombinovanih smetnji. Za procenu ispitanih sposobnosti korišćeni su prvi i treći subtest Akadia testa razvojnih sposobnosti (auditivna i vizuelna diskriminacija), C3 skala Lurija Nebraska baterije za decu (taktilna percepcija), trup test i kriterijumski test znanja. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na statistički značajnu povezanost između procenjenih kognitivnih sposobnosti i uspeha iz programske oblasti 'Prirodna sredina i rad ljudi u različitim godišnjim dobima' koja se izučava u okviru nastavnog predmeta priroda i društvo. Od svih procenjenih sposobnosti vizuelna diskriminacija zauzima n...ajznačajnije mesto. .
