The tactile book, the design and the importance in the education of visually impaired children

Abstract
The importance and the design of tactile books for visually impaired children are considered in this work. The modern patterns of education and rehabilitation of visually impaired pre-school children require their timely acquaintance with the elements of Braille and different ways of representing objects from their environment. This has long-term positive effects on their entire development, and especially on creating ideas and readers' interests. During the last two decades, different institutions throughout the world lounched projects for the production of tactile books. Regarding the level of requirements which must be fulfilled in order for a tactile book to set a children into an equal position with their sighted peers, regarding technical, didactical and esthetical elements, typhlologists, artists of various profiles and other experts are involved in designing of these issues.
U radu je razmatran značaj i dizajniranje taktilnih knjiga za decu sa oštećenjem vida. Savremeni obrasci edukacije i rehabilitacije dece oštećenog vida predškolskog uzrasta zahtevaju njihovo blagovremeno upoznavanje sa elementima Brajevog pisma i različitim načinima predstavljanja objekata iz okoline. To ima dalekosežne pozitivne efekte na njihov sveukupni razvoj a posebno na formiranje predstava i čitalačkih interesovanja. Tokom poslednje dve decenije različite institucije širom sveta su pokrenule projekte izrade taktilnih knjiga. S obzirom na nivo zahteva koje treba ispuniti da bi taktilna knjiga postavila dete u ravnopravan položaj sa vršnjakom bez oštećenja vida u pogledu tehničkih, didaktičkih i estetskih elemenata u dizajniranje i rešavanje ovih pitanja uključeni su tiflolozi, umetnici različitih profila i drugi stručnjaci.
