This paper is devoted to consideration of nature, structure and manifestations of numerical abilities in childhood. Special attention is paid to the development of premathematical and early mathematical abilities, as well as to developmental retreats which may be the predictors of numerical difficulties in early school age. Also, it deals with temporary assessment concepts and possibilities of stimulative and corrective treatment in the area of numerical abilities.
Ovaj rad je posvećen razmatranju prirode, strukture i vidova ispoljavanja numeričkih sposobnosti u detinjstvu. Posebna pažnja posvećena je razvoju predmatematičkih i ranih matematičkih veština, kao i razvojnim odstupanjima koja mogu da budu prediktori teškoća u računanju na mlađem školskom uzrastu. Takođe se razmatraju savremeni koncepti procene i mogućnosti stimulativnog i korektivnog tretmana u sferi numeričkih sposobnosti.
