dc.description.abstractIstraživanje je sprovedeno s ciljem da se utvrdi odnos nivoa intelektualnih sposobnosti i primene verbalnih strategija rešavanja problema kod adolesce- nata sa teškoćama u mentalnom razvoju. Uzorak je činilo 50 adolescenata sa teškoćama u mentalnom razvoju, oba pola, starosti 16-21 godine (AS=18,48; SD=1,59). Učestvovalo je 16 (32%) ispitanika sa umerenom intelektualnom ometenošću (IO) i po 17 (34%) ispitanika sa la- kom IO i graničnim intelektualnim sposobnostima. Za procenu formiranja verbalne strategije rešavanja problema primenjen je Test 20 pitanja. Beležena je uspešnost rešavanja zadatka, skor efikasnosti i inicijalna konceptualizacija. Korelacija nivoa intelektualnih sposobnosti i uspešnosti pogađanja zamišljenog objekta je statistički značajna (p=0,021), ali su rezultati χ2 te- sta nešto izvan granice statističke značajnosti (p=0,069). Uvrđeno je da je nivo intelektualnih sposobnosti značajan činilac inicijalne konceptualizacije (p=0,031) i skora efikasnosti (p=0,017), zasnovan na stati- stički značajnoj razlici aritmetičkih sredina rezultata grupa ispitanika sa umerenom IO i graničnim intelektualnim sposobnostima (p=0,039-0,018).
dc.description.abstractResearch was conducted with the aim to determine relation between level of intellectual abilities and use of verbal problem-solving strategies in adolescents with difficulties in mental development. The sample consisted of 50 adolescents with difficulties in mental development, of both genders, aged between 16 and 21 (M=1.48; SD=1.59). Among participants there were 16 (32%) students with moderate intellectual disability (ID) and 17 (34%) participants with mild ID and borderline intellectual functioning respectively. The 20 Questions Test was used to assess the generation of verbal strategy during problem-solving. The problem-solving effectiveness, efficiency score and initial conceptualization were recorded. Correlation between level of intellectual ability and success in guessing the imagined object is statistically significant (p=0.021), but the results of χ2 test are somewhat beyond the border of statistical significance (p=0.069). It was determined that level of intellectual ability is significant factor of initial conceptualization (p=0.031) and efficiency score (p=0.017), based on statistically significant mean difference between participants with moderate ID and borderline intellectual functioning (p=0.039-0.018).
