Abstract
Interesovanje za kortikalnu vizuelnu ometenost (CVI) počinje krajem devetnaestog veka, konceptom o povezanosti vida i funkcionisanja okcipitalnog korteksa. Rastuća lista posledica ovog oboljenja može se posmatrati kao relativno nov fenomen kojim istraživači počinju da se bave poslednjih nekoliko decenija. Istraživače posebno interesuje funkcionisanje dece sa kortikalnom vizuelnom ometenošću u školskim uslovima, jer još uvek ne postoji odgovor zbog čega deca sa CVI imaju teškoće u učenju: zbog kašnjenja u razvoju ili zbog oštećenja vida. Deca sa CVI često ne obraćaju pažnju na vizuelne stimuluse, sklona su prinošenju predmeta što bliže očima, mogu imati problema pri prepoznavanju ljudi, oblika i prostora, kao glavni put za upoznavanje sveta oko sebe biraju čulo dodira, iako uglavnom imaju uredan očni nalaz ili nalaz sa minimalnim odstupanjima. Cilj rada je da objasni i opiše kortikalnu vizuelnu ometenost i karakteristike dece sa ovom ometenošću.
The interest in cortical visual impairment (CVI) begins at the end of the nineteenth century with the concept of associating sight and occipital cortex functioning. The growing list of consequences of this disease can be seen as a relatively new phenomenon that researchers have been dealing with in the last couple of decades. Researchers are particularly interested in the functioning of children with cortical visual impairment in school setting, because there is still no answer to the question why these children have learning difficulties: due to developmental delays or visual impairment. Children with CVI often do not pay attention to visual stimuli; they tend to bring objects too close to their eyes and may have problems with recognizing people, forms and space. These children choose sense of touch as the primary means of exploring the world around them, although most of them have normal vision or minimum vision deviations.
