Abstract
The paper presents a forty-year-old patient with fluent aphasia caused by traumatic brain injury. Characteristics of the disorder and recovery dynamics were described. The influence of speech therapy on restitution of language competence was evaluated. After five-month treatment, full recovery of language and communicative abilities were observed. The patient returned to his previous job. Significance of early assessment and posttraumatic aphasia treatment in rehabilitation of patients with brain injury was emphasized. .
