The concept of motor learning and its applicability in working with people with disabilities
Koncept motoričkog učenja i njegova primenjivost u radu sa osobama sa invaliditetom
Apstrakt
A man organizes his behavior in the social field largely by motor actions. Motor skills underlie motor behavior, whereby the process of acquiring motor skills is directly determined by motor learning. This paper presents a theoretical elaboration of the concept of motor learning, with special emphasis on the importance of sensory information for the motor learning and the applicability of this concept in working with people with disabilities. Literature data suggest that the concept of motor learning is extremely important for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, given the fact that there is an increasing number of studies whose results confirm the positive effects of implementation of motor learning in the rehabilitation of adults with disabilities, as well as children with disabilities.
