Psychoanalytic techniques of child psychotherapy in working with children with disabilities
Psihoanalitičke tehnike dečje psihoterapije u radu sa decom sa ometenošću
Apstrakt
This paper outlines the most used psychoanalytic techniques of children psychotherapy. The aim of the paper is discussion about their applicability in working with children with various forms of disability. As an introduction and explanation of the development of modern trends in this field, the historical development of child psychotherapy is given. Psychoanalytic work with children with disabilities includes a number of characteristics that are related to the type of disability. It is possible to modify the techniques of psychoanalytic work, in order of accommodation to children with certain forms of disability (modified procedures, materials, settings). In working with children with some type of disability, is not possible to apply the basic principles of psychoanalytic work (transfer, interpretation, etc.). In this case, is not recommended to apply these techniques.
