Deaf culture is a positive, affirming term that indicates the pride and identity of the community, unlike the term "people with impaired hearing" or "deafness" who do not have such a connotation. It is based on sign language used by members of this culture, and members of the deaf community socialize and form various organizations such as sports, social, political, literary, religious. The first sports associations and competitions for the deaf appeared as a result of individual interests of the deaf for certain sports, and competitions for the deaf developed as sports games of a mass character and competitions which have quality. By their participation and commitment to sports, deaf athletes create a favorable social atmosphere in which other deaf people can get involved and achieve social interactions in a way and in an environment that is most natural to them. However, sport can also be one of the ways in which the social inclusion of the deaf can be implemented. Social inclusion en...visages the acceptance of all individuals on a personal, group and national basis. Getting to know and understanding the culture of the Deaf contributes not only to the social inclusion of the deaf people, but also to changes in the way of thinking of hearing people, which results in their mutual acceptance and cooperation, which could give top results in sports. We believe that sports coaches play a big role in this process and that how successful the inclusion process will be depends on their attitude towards deafness. The aim of the research part of this paper was to determine the nature of the attitude of sports coaches towards deafness and deaf people and whether it is an obstacle to their social inclusion. The results of the research showed that sports coaches express neutrality in attitudes towards deafness and deaf people. The obtained results were viewed as a motivation to work on social change, which will be discussed in more detail in this paper.
