| sr |
dc.description.abstract | With this research, we wanted to determine whether dominant lateralization can influence the development of speech in deaf children of pre-school age, sprecifically whether the sentence construction forms unrelated to the dominant hemisphere that prevails in the child. The research was carried out in the audiological clinic “Sveti Sava” in Belgrade and in regular kindergardens. The total sample was made up of 30 examinees, 15 with hearing impairments and 15 without hearing impairment, up to 6 years of age. The aims of this research were: to determine whether there is a difference in the occurrence of dominant lateralization between deaf children and children of proper hearing development; to determine whether age affects thesentence quality in children and to determine whether children with disharmonic lateralization have differently structured sentences. The most important results of this study are: that the use and gestual lateralization correlate very low (r = 0.283 -r = 0.420), that children with harmonic lateralization have poorer scores on the sentence test, while children with disharmonic lateralization have better scores on the sentence test. It hasbeen found that children from complete families have more successful results, but alsothat children who do not have either brothers or sisters achieve better scores on the sentence test. Regarding the modality of the amplification, it has been found that respondents with hearing aids and cochlear im implant achieve approximate results. Based on the results we can see that there is no significant influence of dominant laterality on sentence structure in a child. | sr |
