Different approaches to conceptualizing behavioral disorders
Različiti pristupi u pojmovnom određenju poremećaja ponašanja
Abstract
The paper discusses four basic approaches to conceptualizing behavioral disorders: legal, medical, special-pedagogic and empirical. The existence of different starting points and directions in the development of understanding behavioral disorders provides opportunities to view this complex phenomenon from different angles, but their irreconcilable differences impede systematization, study and transfer of knowledge and experiences. The analysis of the stated approaches includes a consideration of terminology, definitions and classifications, and the influences of different standpoints for the development of science and practice of treating children and adolescents with behavioral disorders.
U radu su opisana četiri osnovna pristupa u pojmovnom određenju poremećaja ponašanja: pravni, medicinski, specijalno-pedagoški i empirijski. Postojanje različitih izvorišta i pravaca razvoja u razumevanju poremećaja ponašanja omogućava sagledavanje ovog kompleksnog fenomena s više aspekata, ali nepomirljive razlike koje postoje među njima otežavaju sistematizaciju, proučavanje i transfer znanja i iskustva. Analiza navedenih pristupa podrazumeva razmatranje terminologije, definicija i klasifikacija, ali i uticaja različitih stanovišta na razvoj nauke i prakse postupanja prema deci i omladini s poremećajima ponašanja.
