dc.description.abstractSelf-management interventions help persons with autism spectrum disorders to learn to independently regulate their own behaviors and act appropriately in a variety of home, school, and community-based situations. With these interventions, persons with autism are taught to discriminate between appropriate and inappropriate behaviors, accurately monitor and record their own reactions, and reward themselves for behaving appropriately. The aim of this paper is to review and analyze the available theoretical and empirical papers and to extract those studies that discuss the effects of self-menagemet strategy. The basic search was conducted via Google Scholar and the insight into the available literature was carried out by a further search of electronic databases (EBSCOhost, wiley Interscience) available through Serbian Library Consortium for Coordinated Acquisition. Results of numerous studies show that self-management procedures are effective in improving social and communication skills and decreasing restrictive and repetitive patterns of behaviors for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.en
dc.description.abstractStrategije upravljanja sopstvenim ponašanjem pomažu osobama iz autističkog spektra da nauče samostalno da regulišu ponašanje i da na odgovarajući način reaguju u kućnim uslovima, školi i situacijama u društvenoj zajednici. Korišćenjem ovakvih intervencija osobe sa autizmom se podučavaju da prave razliku između odgovarajućeg i neodgovarajućeg ponašanja, da precizno prate i beleže svoje reakcije, kao i da nagrade sebe za adekvatne bihejvioralne manifestacije. Cilj ovog rada je da se, pregledom i analizom dostupnih teorijskih i empirijskih radova, izdvoje ona istraživanja u kojima se diskutuje o efektima strategija upravljanja sopstvenim ponašanjem. Osnovna pretraga je obavljena upotrebom Google Scholar pretraživača, a dalji uvid u dostupnu literaturu je izvršen pregledom elektronskih baza podataka (EBSCOhost, wiley Interscience) dostupnih preko Konzorcijuma biblioteka Srbije za objedinjenu nabavku. Rezultati brojnih studija pokazuju da su procedure upravljanja sopstvenim ponašanjem efikasne u poboljšavanju socijalnih i komunikativnih veština, kao i ublažavanju restriktivnih i repetitivnih obrazaca ponašanja kod osoba sa autističkim spektrom poremećaja.sr
