Double literacy of children with sight impairment
Dvostruka pismenost dece sa oštećenjem vida
Apstrakt
Many years people with sight impairment were using only one method for literacy acquiring, and this is Braille's alphabet or black print, and teaching was in accordance with the chosen alphabet. In the time, it had been noticed, that there are many children with sight impairment (particularly with progressive ocular diseases) who have the need to use many media, so that they can achieve certain level of literacy. Recently, experts have been discussing reasons for introducing the second medium in teaching children with sight impairment. Double literate child with the sight impairment has the possibility of combining black print and Braille's alphabet in accordance with the teaching situation and possibility of easier solving everyday life situations which are based on literacy. The aim of this paper is to explain double literacy of children with sight impairment.
Dugi niz godina u opismenjavanju osoba sa oštećenjem vida korišćen je samo jedan medij - Brajevo pismo ili crni tisak, a nastava je organizovana u skladu sa odabranim pismom. Vremenom je uočeno da postoji veliki broj dece sa oštećenjem vida (posebno one sa progresivnim očnim oboljenjima) koja imaju potrebu da koriste više medija kako bi postigli određeni nivo pismenosti. U novije vreme, stručnjaci razmatraju razloge za uvođenje drugog medija u nastavu sa decom oštećenog vida. Dvostruko pismeno dete sa oštećenjem vida ima mogućnost kombinovanja crnog tiska i Brajevog pisma u skladu sa nastavnom situacijom i mogućnost lakšeg rešavanja svakodnevnih životnih situacija koje se zasnivaju i na pismenosti. Cilj ovoga rada jeste da objasni i opiše dvostruku pismenost dece sa oštećenjem vida.
