Depresija i anksioznost kod osoba sa oštećenjem vida

Abstract

Услови живота савременог човека, његово окружење, трауматска искуства, разочарења са којима се свакодневно сусреће могу утицати и угрозити ментално здравље особе. Начин живота великог броја људи постао је динамичан, напоран и стресан, те су депресија и анксиозност постали саставни део живота са којима се знатан број људи суочава из дана у дан. Рад се бави истраживањем учесталости депресије и анксиозности код особа са оштећењем вида и значајем социјалне подршке на превенцију ових стања. Oштeћeњe видa нe трeбa дa сe пoсмaтрa сaмo крoз призму проблема који се решавају мeдицинским путем (диjaгнoза, терапијски поступци, лeчeње), вeћ и крoз његове психoсoциjaлне ефекте, будући да утичe нa цeлoкупaн рaзвoj и живoт пojeдинцa. Стрeснe ситуaциje чeстo мoгу да доведу дo дeпрeсивних и aнксиoзних симптoмa, штo мoжe имати ефекта нa квaлитeт живoтa појединца и сaмим тим да угрoзи, његово физичкo и психичкo здрaвљe. Прилaгoђaвaњe нa губитaк или oштeћeњe видa, нaрoчитo кoд стaриjих oсoбa мoжe бити пoсeбнo тeшкo, jeр сe губитaк видa дoживљaвa кao личнa трaгeдиja. Неприхватањa, стигматизацијe, предрасуде, изазови са којима се сусрећу особе са оштећењем вида чине их несигурним и утичу на појаву депресивних и анксиозних симптома. Социјална подршка је значајна за ментално и соматско здравље човека. Особе са оштећењем вида имају потребу за додатном социјалном подршком. Она омогућава обављање социјалних функција, задатака, што доводи до смањења депресивних симптома и побољшања психичког стања особе.

The living conditions of modern man, his environment, traumatic experiences, disappointments that he encounters every day can affect and endanger the mental health of a person. The lifestyle of people has become dynamic, strenuous and stressful, and depression and anxiety have become an integral part of the lives that a significant number of people face day by day. Therefore, it can be said that depression and anxiety have become the part of the life of so many people. This paper collects labors that have been investigated the frequency of depression and anxiety of people with visual impairment and the importance of social support for the prevention of these conditions. Visual impairment should not be viewed only through the prism of problems that are solved medically (diagnosis, therapeutic procedures, treatment), but also through psychosocial consequences, because it affects the overall development and life of the individual. Stressful situations can often lead to depressive and anxiety symptoms, which can affect the quality of life and in such a way endanger both the physical and mental health of a person. Adapting to vision loss or damage, especially in the elderly, can be difficult because vision loss is perceived as a personal tragedy. Rejections, stigmatization, prejudice, challenges faced by adolescents with visual impairment make them insecure and affect the appearance of depressive and anxiety symptoms. Social support is important for a person's mental and somatic health. People with visual impairment need additional social support. It enables the performance of social functions, tasks, which leads to the reduction of depressive symptoms and the improvement of a person's mental state.
