dc.description.abstractThe article presents contemporary findings about mentorship as one of the most effective interventions of preventive actions. In addition to defining the idea of mentorship, the quality description of the mentor relation and the differentiation of various types of mentorship, a special consideration has been given to a detailed presentation of the basic phases in planning of an intervention by a mentor such as: recruitment, screening, activities, supervision and closure. The description of each phase contains concrete suggestions and directions for a successful realization. In their conclusion the authors indicate the contribution and juvenile delinquency.en
