Analiza povezanosti socio – demografskih i nekih faktora vezanih za dijabetes i kvaliteta života obolelih osoba

Abstract

Дијабетес мелитус је једна од најзаступљенијих хроничних болести у свету и код нас. Поред тога што је са дијабетесом мелитусом здравље особе значајно нарушено, ова болест има велики утицај на квалитет живота оболелих уопште. Основни циљ овог истраживања био је да се утврде разлике у квалитету живота особа са дијабетесом које користе инсулинске инјекције и оних које ниво шећера регулишу таблетама и исхраном и утврдити да ли постојe разлике у субјективној перцепцији квалитета живота у односу на врсту терапије, пол, животну доб, образовни статус, брачни статус, као и у односу на присуство касних компликација дијабетеса, а основно истраживачко питање: Да ли постоје значајне разлике у квалитету живота оболелих особа и у којој мери разлике у социодемографским карактеристикама и неким факторима везаних за дијабетес, као што су компликације ове болести и врста третмана коју особа примењује у њеном лечењу, утичу на квалитет живота оболелих особа? Узорком је обухваћено 100 испитаника са дијабетесом мелитусом типа 1 и типа 2. Истраживање је спроведено коришћењем упитника који је посебно креиран за потребе овог истраживања и Специфичне скале процене квалитета живота особа са дијабетесом. Резултати овог истраживања показују да не постоји статистички значајна разлика у квалитету живота особа оболелих од дијабетеса у односу на пол, старосну доб, образовни статус, брачни статус/емотивну везу, присуство компликација повезаних са дијабетесом и учесталост контроле нивоа шећера у крви, али да постоји статистички значајна разлика у квалитету живота оболелих када је у питању врста третмана и степен самосталности у свакодневним активностима.

Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most common chronic disease in the world and in our country. In addition to the fact that a persons health is significantly impaired with diabetes mellitus, this disease has a great impact on the quality of life of patients in general. The main goal of this study was to determine the differences in the quality of life of people with diabetes who use insulin injections and those who regulate sugar levels with tablets and diet and to determine whether there are differences in the subjective perception of quality of life in relation to the type of therapy, gender, age, educational status, marital status, as well as in relation to the presence of late complications of diabetes, and the basic research question is: Are there significant differences in the quality of life of patients and to what extent do differences in sociodemographic characteristics and some factors related to diabetes, such as possible complications of this disease and the type of treatment that person uses, affect the quality of life of patients? The sample included 100 respondents with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research was conducted using a questionnaire that was specially created for the needs of this research and Diabetes specific quality of life scale. The results of this study show that there is no statistically significant difference in the quality of life of people with diabetes in relation to gender, age, educational status, marital status/emotional relationship, the presence of complications associated with diabetes and the frequency of blood sugar control, but that there is a statistically significant difference in the quality of life of patients when it comes to the type of treatment and the degree of independence in daily activities.
