dc.description.abstractNormal hearing is crucial for speech and language development, communication and learning process. It was previously thought that unilateral sensorineural hearing loss (USHL) in children does not leave consequences, since speech and language can adequately develop with only one normal haring ear. In recent decades, the results of numerous studies have begun to be published, suggesting that a significant percentage of children with USHL have many developmental problems and many aspects of functioning from behavioral, communication, and educational problems compared to their hearing peers. Also noted is the possibility of delays in the development of speech and language. The aim of the paper was to present, based on a review of relevant literature and online databases, the negative impact of unilateral sensorineural hearing loss in children, on the development of speech and language, communication, and educational achievement. The etiology, importance of early detection and rehabilitation are also discussed.sr
dc.description.abstractUredan sluh je presudan za razvoj govora jezika, komunikaciju i proces učenja. Ranije je smatrano da jednostrana senzorineuralna oštećenja sluha (JSOS) kod dece ne ostavljaju posledice, jer se govor i jezik adek- vatno mogu razviti samo sa jednim dobro čujućim uvom. Poslednjih dece- nija počinju da se objavljuju rezultati brojnih studija koje sugerišu da značajan procenat dece sa jednostranim senzorineuralnim oštećenjem sluha ima brojne probleme u razvoju i mnogim aspektima funkcioni- sanja, od problema u ponašanju, komunikaciji i obrazovanju u poređenju sa čujućim vršnjacima. Takođe zapažena je i mogućnost kašnjenja u razvoju govora i jezika. Cilj rada je bio da prikaže na osnovu pregleda relevantne litera- ture i internet baza podataka, negativan uticaj jednostrane senzo- rineuralne nagluvosti kod dece, na razvoj govora, jezika, komunikaciju i akademska postignuća. Takođe u radu je diskutovano o etiologiji, zna- čaju ranog otkrivanja i rehabilitaciji.sr
