Conflict management strategies of pupils: The scale validity and reliability

In the article is presented the dual concern model as the starting theoretically-methodological framework of studying the strategies of conflicts among pupils management with the Rahim instrument recently developed through the operationalization of this model. To a sample group of 435 secondary school pupils was administered the adapted ROCI II*(Rahim, 1983) questionnaire with purpose of assessing interpersonal conflicts management strategies. The results of factor analysis indicate the 4-factor structure of questionnaire. Interpersonal conflict management strategies were commented as well as the interrelation of strategies considering the characteristics of adolescent population and the influence of general social context on their development and education. The choice of a particular strategy is connected with a number of personal and environmental factors. It is quite certain that the specificities of the adolescence accompanied by a chaotic and disturbed general social context which... make their educational and socialization medium, being in an interdependent and dynamic relation, present a prism through which their overall influence on the choice of the most efficient conflict management strategy need to be viewed.
