Writing is the skill of forming letters or numbers for a certain period of time and in a certain form. The speed and beauty, that is, the quantity and quality of writing, have been perfected over the years. The aim of the research is to determine the speed (quantity) of writing in students who are in the first cycle of primary education. The sample was formed of 200 students of typical development, both sexes, who attend the second and third grade of a Belgrade primary school. To estimate the quantity (speed) of writing, a test was used to determine the number of letters that the student writes within one sentence for a period of one minute. The results showed that in relation to gender, girls write faster, in relation to age, these are older students, and in relation to school success, these are students who achieve excellent school success. At the same time, a certain percentage of those who have a writing speed below the expected age norms was recorded. 24.7% of second grade students (16.1% of boys and 8.6% of girls; 9.8% of excellent and 14.8% of very good) and 14.3% of third grade students (6.7% of boys and 7.6% % of girls, 12.6% of excellent and 0.8% of very good and good students) write at a speed below the predicted norm. These are students who require additional assessments and monitoring, because they represent students with whom they may appear over time or already find difficulties in writing.EN
24,7% učenika drugog razreda (16,1% dečaka i 8,6% devojčica; 9,8% odličnih i 14,8% vrlodobrih) i 14,3% učenika trećeg razreda (6,7% dečaka i 7,6% devojčica; 12,6% odličnih i po 0,8% vrlodobrih i dobrih učenika) piše brzinom ispod predviđene norme.
