Persons with high-functioning autism can be engaged in group work with other persons of similar age in order to develop social skills, raise self-confidence and self-esteem, or to provide mutual support. In February 2020 a Youth Club was established at the Faculty for Special Education and Rehabilitation, intended for weekly gatherings of persons with high-functioning autism and the students of final year at this Faculty. The aim of this paper is to present the social validity of the Youth Club from the perspective of participants with high-functioning autism. The research sample included six persons with high-functioning autism. The Club was active for eight weeks, after which a questionnaire for assessing social validity was administered. The obtained results show that all six participants were satisfied with the socializing and the activities in the Club, as well as with having the opportunity to make new friends, to use the acquired skills at home, that these activities helped them feel safer in social situations, but also that they would recommend other persons to participate, and that they would like to take part in similar gatherings again.en
