AB - The main aim of this paper is to identify factors that could determine social participation of pupils with cerebral palsy in elementary schools in the Republic of Serbia. Social participation is within this paper viewed from the perspective of independent execution of non-academic school activities that the pupils with cerebral palsy perform daily in the school environment, which they need in order to be able to fulfil the academic tasks.
The study included 75 pupils with cerebral palsy, 6 to 12 years old, who attended mainstream elementary schools and schools for students with special educational needs from the first to the sixth grade. In order to assess their participation in the school environment, the third part of the SFA (The School Function Assessment) questionnaire were used. The extent of impairment of pupils’ gross motor and manual ability was assessed by the GMFCS (Gross Motors Classification System) and MACS (Manual Ability Classification System) scales. As independent variables, we have determined 9 individual factors that relate to the characteristics of pupils with cerebral palsy, and 1 environmental factor that relates to the type of school the students attend.
The results indicate the importance of motor skills and intellectual and writing abilities of pupils with cerebral palsy as significant predictors of social participation in school environment in the Republic of Serbia.

AB - Intellectual disability is characterized by significant limitations in intellectual functioning and adaptive behaviour. Furthermore, it includes limitations in motor functioning that may manifest in different ways and to different extents.
This study was aimed to determine the structure of motor behaviour and the structure of motor programs in adolescents with moderate intellectual disability.
The sample consisted of 30 participants with intellectual disabilities, aged 14–20 years, diagnosed with moderate mental retardation according to ICD-10 (WHO, 1992), without visual or hearing impairment, with preserved speech comprehension and production, and no associated psychiatric disorders. Both genders were equally represented in the sample. At the time of the research, all participants were included in the educational system of the Republic of Serbia. The Protocol for Examining Praxia (Brown, 1974) was used to evaluate the structure of motor behaviour and the structure of motor programs.
Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the structure of the motor behaviour of participants with a moderate intellectual disability is characterized by a significant frequency of incorrect and omitted movements. Next, the structure of motor programs is characterized by the presence of errors in the execution of movements and the errors of executive and conceptual origin. A statistically significant predominance of conceptual errors in comparison with executive errors in the structure of motor programs is confirmed.
