assessment of ability to achieve everyday activities and social parts achievement level.
The study was conducted in Digestive Surgery Clinic; First Surgical Clinic in
Belgrade, Department V, where patients were stationed in the time of research. Research
period was 08.04.2010. till 17.07.2011. Sample contained 33 patients having colostomy
or ileostomy in time of research. Quality of life was assessed through assessment of 11
categories of life habits and achievement satisfaction level. Standardized questionnaire
„Assessment of life habits-Life H“ (Fougeyrollas, 1998) was used.
Results indicated areas where our participants have lower achievement level and
disharmony between life habits achievement level (objective) and Satisfaction with
life habits achievement level (subjective). Examining demographic features that affect
achieving life habits, we found age of patients significant, while gender and type of stoma
showed no statistically significant differences.
Considering how many people are forced to live with chronic diseases and
consequences of medical procedures, quality of life assessment and possibility for
its improvement are very significant. By assessing quality of life we also assess social

AB - Quality of life is in nature subjective concept which doesn't have universal meaning and only individual can define personal meaning of quality of life. There are many factors which can violate quality of life and one of these factors is certainly enduring consequence of chronically diseases and conditions. One of these conditions is spasticity. Strong spasticity has influence on many aspects of rehabilitation treatment and hamper independence in many situations of everyday life. Spasticity is changing life of person but we should accentuate that every person has ability of her own experience of the same conditions of life are different for every person. The aim of our work was to appointed to what extent spasticity has influence on quality of life diseased person through the ability of performing everyday activity. Research is making on a sample of 30 patients which were stationed at Clinic for rehabilitation 'Dr Miroslav Zotovic' in Belgrade. For research was used scale of appraisal for life habits (short version) first part that is applicable to everyday activity. Analyzing received results we can conclude that persons with spasticity perform/work more hamper in every area with special accent on ability of movement (mobility) and area of responsibility and the least difficulty they show in communication.
