AB  - Трошкови извршења казне затвора су велики како у свету тако и у нашој земљи. Повећање затворске популације у целом свету свакако не доприноси смањењу ових трошкова. Овај проблем јавља се од самог настанка казне затвора. Многе државе суочене са проблемом превеликих трошкова функционисања пеналног система почеле су да траже различита решења. Међу решењима налази се радно ангажовање осуђених током боравка у затвору, приватни затвори и алтернативне кривичне санкције.
У овом раду анализираће се трошкови извршења казне затвора у свету и код нас. Поред тога анализом ће бити обухваћена могућа решења овог проблема, бенефити али и мане.
AB  - The costs of serving a prison sentence are high both in the world and in our country.
Increasing the prison population worldwide does not contribute to reducing these costs. This problem has been arising since the very beginning of the prison sentence. Many countries, faced with the problem of excessive costs of functioning of the penal system, have started to look for different solutions. Among the solutions are the employment of convicts during their stay in prison, private prisons as well as alternative criminal sanctions. This paper will analyze the costs of serving a prison sentence in the world, but also in our country. In addition, the analysis will include possible solutions to this problem, its benefits and disadvantages.
